Tribute to Our Beloved Emeritus President, Dr. Chris Asoluka (Okwuruoha)
Aka Ikenga regrets to announce the peaceful transition of one of our brightest lights, a true luminary, statesman, and our beloved Emeritus President — Dr. Chris Asoluka (Okwuruoha) — who passed on to glory on May 10, 2025, at the age of 70.
Dr. Chris Asoluka was not only a towering intellectual and public servant, but also a deeply compassionate leader whose life’s work was rooted in the pursuit of justice, excellence, and empowerment. For us in Aka Ikenga, he was more than a member — he was our moral compass, our orator, our sage, our brother. A thinker of extraordinary depth and a strategist of calm precision, Okwuruoha served with distinction and left a legacy etched in the annals of Igbo advocacy and leadership.
Through seven decades of impactful life, he championed the voice of the people — his name Okwuruoha was not just a title, it was a way of life. As a thought-leader and bridge-builder, he inspired generations and challenged us all to aim higher, think deeper, and serve better.
We will miss his brilliant mind, his warmth, and his unwavering commitment to the values that define our identity and mission.
